The Vuzix M100 Smart Glasses combine the power of a modern smartphone and a hand free monocular display in a form factor similar to an over-the-ear Bluetooth headset. An integrated 1080p HD camera enables video and still image capture for recording, with support for up to 16GB of removable storage. A monocular color display, suitable for outdoor use, audio, noise cancelling microphones, head tracking and GPS for global positioning and spatial awareness round out the features set, opening a world of new possibilities.
Unlike traditional HMDs (head mounted displays), the M100 includes an onboard OMAP processor running an Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. Three modes of operation allow apps to be loaded on and run directly from the M100, run on a paired Android device using the M100 as an HMD, or specially designed Android apps can be run on both a paired Android device and the M100, working cooperatively for improved performance.

The emulation system provides a compatible M100 system image and skin, specific to the M100, replicating the size and density of the screen configuration for your applications. M100 buttons are provided to simulate user interaction and event triggers within the device. The emulator can also be used with your PC’s webcam to test apps intending to use the M100’s HD camera.
